Delta state Governor: Condemns Use of Social Media by Criminals (Cynthia Burial)

The late Cynthia Osokogu was buried on Friday 7, September 2012 at her family residence in Boji-Boji Owa, Ika North Local Government Area of Delta State Nigeria.
Among those who attended the burial ceremony was the governor of Delta state Nigeria, Emmanuel Uduaghan accompanied by his wife, Roli.
The governor visited the family of Frank Osokogu to condole them over the tragic death of their daughter, Cynthia.
While a speaking at the late Cynthia’s family home, the Delta state governor condemned the use of social media by some Nigerians in committing crime, instead of using it as a means of development.
He said the social media has been used to promote growth and development in the developed societies and lamented that some Nigerians were exploiting it negatively.
Other who attended Cynthia’s burial was Senator Ifeanyi Okonwa and the Obi of Owa, Emmanuel Efezomor 11 and others.

Nigerian Police Seized Cynthia’s Corpse: Burial Ceremony Held without Her Body

A news report just reaching Citigist from PM news has it that -----The Nigeria police in Lagos state, early morning today refused to release the corpse of Cynthia Osokogu to her parent for burial, remember the Facebook girl who was murdered by suspected kidnappers in a hotel in Lagos.

According to sources, the police had planned to do an autopsy on the body yesterday at the Ikeja General Hospital morgue. Police Commissioner Umaru Manko said that the pathologist did not complete the autopsy and hence the decision not to release Cynthia’s body for burial. Click to continue...

It was not clear whether the autopsy delayed the release of the body. One source said the police needed to conclude the autopsy since the report is vital to the trial of the suspects, who had confessed killing the girl.

Barely three months after the reported birth of a baby with a mini-Quran in Mushin area of Lagos State, another oddity has occurred in Sagamu, Ogun State as a woman was said to have delivered a baby boy with an Islamic rosary, otherwise known as Tesbeu.

Investigation by Sunday Sun revealed that the boy was delivered on Tuesday at Rotoluwa Maternity Home along Aiyepe Road at about 11.45pm.

Mrs. Gbemisola Hamsat, a 35-year-old mother of five, was said to have been delivered of the baby and the rosary.
