This is the third bomb explosion in the formerly quiescent city in less than a week.
The unfortunate incident occurred at a populated area where many people had gathered to watch football match around 9:00pm at a big viewing centre, thus sending fear and panic everywhere in the once peaceful city of Jos.
Source in Jos told Citigist
that it seems some persons were killed in the heartless attack. The
NEMA Zonal Information Officer in Jos, Audu Yohana, said the bomb had
exploded on Murtala Mohammed road near the main campus of University of
Jos.
He said emergency responders were afraid to approach the scene of the latest explosion for fear that another bomb might be planted nearby.
Another source said the suicide bomber died in the attack. Is Nigeria under siege?
