JJ Okocha of Nigeria Auctioned for $500,000 in Indian League


Recently Austin Jay-Jay Okocha the former Super Eagles captain of Nigeria fetched was offered $500,000 contract in the Indian football league that will be take off next month.

Durgapur a marketing company in India was the facilitator of the deal. Other notable footballers that are expected to play football in the Indian league are.

SAMSON SIASIA: Okocha’s teammate and a Former coach of the super Eagles of Nigeria who was sold for the sum of $210,000.

GERNAN CRESPO OF ARGENTINE who was also auctioned for a whooping sum of about $840,000 by Barasat franchise of Premier League Soccer

FABIO CANNAVARO: The Italian 2006 World Cup-winning player was sold to Siliguri for $830,000.

ROBERT PIRES OF FRANCE was sold for the sum of $800,000 to Howrah

ROBBIE FOWLER: The formal Liverpool FC player was sold for the sum of ($530,000) to Kolkata.

The total amount spent to purchase these players is about $7 million.
