Bobby Brown the American R$B singer and formal husband of the late Whitney Houston arrieved Lagos- Nigeria Tuesday on his first African music tour. Citigist News learn t that Bobby Brown touched down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos-Nigeria along with friends and formal band members of the New Edition group that reigned in the 1980s. While speaking to some select journalists on arrival, Bobby Brown (the American R&B singer) expressed his delight in coming to Africa for the very first time. “I’m happy to be here, but men, its hot here. I can’t wait to perform this weekend,” he said. Also, friends and other members of the band that accompanied him said they were happy about the trip to Nigeria and looking forward to connecting with their numerous African fans. The Bobby Brown- New Edition concert in Nigeria is being facilitated by R28 Events. The ‘New Edition In Concert’ will take place on Sunday 11 March 2012 at the Eko Hotel and suit. After the ‘New Edition In Concert’ will move to Polo lagos Club and then to Port Harcourt in the Niger Delta. Notable Nigerian artists expected to perform at the event are Omawumi, Banky W and eLDee. According to the event organizers (R28 Events), they promised. “The show will see the superstars give their first full performance in Nigeria, before nearly 10,000 fans; as they show in living colours, the star quality that wowed music fans back in the 80s”
