New Nollywood movie “Hoodrush” by Dimeji Ajibola ---For very romantic and bitter roles played in blockbuster movies like Out of Bounds and The Mourning After, which further cemented her place among the industry’s finests, the director and producer of one of the movies to watch out for in 2012, Dimeji Ajibola has come out to say that the role the amiable actress played in Hoodrush would take many by surprise.
Bimbo Akintola starred in the movie with fast rising stars like O.C Ukeje, Gabriel Afolayan, Bolanle Ninolowo of Diesel Music, Chelsea Eze, Ifeoma Agu, Leelee Byoma and others. The movie is due to hit the big screens in the month of October.
Dimeji Ajibola is a creative entrepreneur with creative and business interests in filmmaking, virtual worlds, animation, cartoons, interactive digital media, and music. His background is a blend of traditional skills and digital art. The filmmaker is adept in creative illustrations, visual layout and staging, project planning and execution. He Studied Advance Character animation at a school in San Francisco, he also studied Filmmaking and Cinematography at the New York Film Academy and also at the Universal Studios in California.
Speaking about how Bimbo Akintola dazzled on the set of the movie, Dimeji opined ‘’if you compare the roles Bimbo played in Out of Bounds with RMD and The Mourning After, you would see that they brought out the different sides to this amiable actress. Bimbo did very well on the set of Hoodrush, she is one of the best actresses in Nollywood in terms of the quality of her delivery in roles, she showed a lot of class, she connected well with others, that’s what you get when you bring on board a talented actress, talented hands make your job as a director easier’’.
