Former Governor of Kwara State Dr. Bukola Saraki has said his current struggle along with other members of the former new Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) is aimed at the good of the people.
According to Saraki, who is now a chieftain of the All Progressives
Congress (APC), it is time to change the system. However, he noted that doing
so may bring some discomfort.
“It is comfortable not doing anything, it is uncomfortable trying to
change the system. But we must change the system,” he said.
The official made this statement in Ilorin during an annual public lecture
and dinner organised by a group of Ilorin emirate indigenes under the aegis of
Klob 27.
Saraki also pointed out that agriculture remains the only surest path to
give Nigeria economic freedom.
He believes that the model of large scale commercial farming has succeeded
in the state.
