US Female University Student Commits Suicide Because she was Bullied by Classmates

Alyssa Funke, a 19-year-old student at the University of Wisconsin’s River Falls campus, committed suicide after being bullied and harassed online over her choice to appear in p*rnography.
According to reports, Funke was majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry when in March, she appeared in a video from p*orn producers CastingCouch-X under the name Stella Ann. The video got released in April and somehow, it was quickly discovered by Funke’s classmates, both at her old high school and at the University of Wisconsin.
Immediately, Funke started getting harassed on social media, people began sending her abusive
messages through Twitter and Facebook. At first, Funke seemed unfazed by the cyberbullying, posting defiant messages on Facebook and Twitter.

But on April 16, a day after she posted her last tweet, she bought a shotgun and shot herself on her family’s boat, leaving behind her parents and her nine siblings.

Police are investigating the circumstances of Funke’s death, but they don’t believe her being targeted by cyberbullies had anything to do with it. Funke’s parents, however, disagree with the police’s assessment of their daughter’s death. They think cyberbullying played a significant role in Funke’s suicide.
