Neymar believes Lionel Messi confirmed his
status as the best player in the world with his impressive display in
Barcelona's 3-1 Champions League victory over AC Milan on Wednesday.
The
Argentine attacker netted twice to help Barcelona to the full three points
after scoring just once in his previous five games and Neymar believes that his
team-mate will soon be back to his usual best after Wednesday's boost.
"Messi is a true great, without question the best in the world," Neymar
told the official Uefa website."Even he has to struggle a bit in front of goal occasionally, but now it'll be less and less after these two goals and a good result."
The former Santos star then went on to voice his satisfaction with Barcelona's progress in the opening months of the 2013-14 campaign.
"The team is growing, bit by bit."
Barcelona are one of four teams to have already qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League, with Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester City booking their ticket this week, too.
