Photo: Why Man. United Did Not Push for Iheanacho

The Reigning English Premier League champions Manchester United have conceded Nigerian youngster, Kelechi Iheanacho to their neighbours ManchesterCity, but the club has revealed they would not miss the Nigerian whizkid.
Writing on the club’s website under the headline, Nigerian talent set for City move over United!, Paul Bienkowski said:

“Thinking on the positives though, United have plenty of talented players in their academy, so it could be a reason as to why the club did not push for the player.”

The writer raises doubts as to whether Manchester United actually wanted the player, as he writes further:
“For all we knew, City might have been the only club to make a concrete offer for the player. I am sure, over time, the truth will come out on the deal.”
Iheanacho is currently ineligible for a work permit, so City, who have a sister club in Ghana, will loan the 17-year-old until he has earned enough international caps to qualify for a work permit.
