IRS Airline Crashes In Niger Republic

Ikeja – A Folker 100 belonging to IRS airlines on Saturday night crashed in the Republic of Niger.

Mr Fan Ndubuoke, the General Manager, Corporate Affairs of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), confirmed the incident in Lagos on Sunday.
He said that the plan crashed at about 8.00 p.m. on its way back to Kano, after completing a C-Check.

The general manager said that the aircraft lost contact at Ganla in Niger Republic, adding that Niamey air control tower had been informed.

Ndubuoke noted that the aircraft, with registration number 5NSIK, was carrying two crew members on board.

He however said the two crew members survived the crash. (NAN)
