His name is Ahmad Salkida, a young man
but very influential and he's one of the few men who has the access to
Nigeria's biggest headache at the moment, Boko Haram.
As a journalist
with access to them, he has warned the government in clear terms that
using force to rescue the abducted girls will most likely fail.
Salkida, who facilitated the aborted negotiations between the Nigerian government and Boko Haram, reportedly told President Goodluck Jonathan before the deadlock that force could not bring the abducted girls back alive from the sect’s den for obvious reasons.
Credible sources in the Presidency said Salkida met with government in Abuja and that he was blunt at the meeting, stressing that there are too many heavy weapons in Boko Haram camps. He disclosed that Boko Haram now has some of the best weapons in the world inside their camp
