The Oriental Energy Scholarships 2019 is currently Ongoing for Nigerians with Akwa Ibom as a special case.  The aim of the plan is to support training and to contribute to the development of human capital in its field of activity.

Oriental Energy Resources Limited (OERL), a private oil and gas exploration and production company in Nigeria, hereby invites applications from duly qualified candidates for the 2019/2020 University Scholarship Program. The aim of the plan is to support capacity development and to contribute to the development of human capital in its area of ​​activity.

About Oriental Energy Resources Limited

Oriental Energy was founded in 1990 and received the block OPL224 off the coast of Nigeria. In the more than 25 years since, Oriental Energy has transformed OPL224 into OML 115, adding Okwok and Ebok assets to the portfolio.

Aggressive Well appraisal and drilling programs kicked off the Ebok field in the second quarter of 2011, initiating the largest development program for a domestic and manufacturing company to date. Oriental Energy intends to commission the Okwok field before the end of 2020. Oriental Energy has also developed an offshore production hub and uses the Ebok terminal for storage and unloading of extracted crude oil.

Level/Field of Study: 

The Scholarship is designed for Students in their Undergraduate the First year of Study at an Accredited University in Nigeria levels. You must be Studying any course of Choice at the University.

Host/ Eligible Nationality:

The Scholarship is hosted by the Eastern Energy Resources Limited (OERL) in Nigeria. The Company has most of their Wells in Akwa Ibom. The Scholarship is Intended for Akwa Ibomites. The scholarship is open and prizes will be awarded to successful candidates from Effiat Community, Mbo area, The rest of the state of Akwa Ibom.

Required Application documents:

At least six (6) WASCE / NECO or GCE credits acquired during a meeting,
He was successful in the JAMB exam,
Guaranteed admission to the academic session 2019/2020 for the first degree at a Nigerian university.
A valid and working personal e-mail address for communication in accordance with the OERL.

Application forms are available free of charge from the OERL Scholarship Administrator at the following address: scholarship.admin@oriental-er.com. All completed forms must be sent by e-mail (scholarship.admin@oriental-er.com) with the following documents:

A copy of the admission certificate for the academic session 2019/2020,
A copy of the WASCE / NECO or GCE certificate or the declaration of results,
Evidence of the country of origin shall be provided by the competent local authority and duly signed by the President or Secretary.

Important information to note

Selected candidates will be invited by e-mail to a fitness test and prizes will be awarded based on the test results.
Applications with incomplete documents and non-compliance with the admission criteria will be disqualified.
The submission of incorrect information leads to the cancellation of already approved prices.
