Petrol Tanker Explosion: Kills 80People In Rivers State

A petrol tanker was said to have broken down overnight on a road in at Okobie, town in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State was gushing petrol.


Eye witness said, “People started scooping fuel from the petrol tanker then it exploded and killed many”
Kayode Olagunju, Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission for Rivers State said about 80people were burnt to death and 20 other injured persons have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
