First Saudi Arabian woman joins Syrian militants - reports

A woman from Saudi Arabia has arrived to Syria and joined the radical Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant extremist group, fighting against the Bashar Assad government, Iranian Alayam television channel reports on Monday.

According to the channel, it happens for the first time. The news caused an ambiguous reaction among militants. Some of them remained indignant while others welcomed her.

Many foreign militants came to Syria with their families, but terrorists’ wives don’t take part in combat actions, Alayam notes.
