In an
interview with Channels Television, Lamido stated that
those who had placed their ambitions above national interest were vandalizing
the party which he "cherishes, loves and believes in."
"Our
fight was to bring the attention of the party to do the right thing," the
Governor said.
Lamido
disclosed that his involvement with the nPDP was to cause the party’s
leadership to "behave".
"When
I’m in the PDP, I’ll do anything with anybody in the world to collaborate to
bring sanity into PDP," he added.
Last week
the Governor also called the PDP's Chairman Bamanga Tukur a "deadly
virus" within the party.
On
November 26, the nPDP announced they joined the APC. Two of the seven
governors belonging to the nPDP, Sule Lamido and Babangida Aliyu, said,
however, they would stay in the ruling party.
