Nando was reportedly killed right in front of his home is Oak Mill Court, in a neighborhood off Mt. Zion Road.
Investigators do not believe the shooting was related to a home invasion.
Clayton County police are yet to release a motive behind the heartless killing.
A few celebrities including producer Jermaine ‘JD’ Dupri have taken to social media to mourn their friend.
‘RIP my brother DJ Nando: I really hate that I’m posting this, my prayers go out to his family’, JD tweeted.
Born William Barnes, DJ Nando was a Virginia native who relocated to Atlanta 10+ years ago.
Nando DJ’d at Atlanta’s hottest spots such as Magic City, Kamal’s 21, and Onyx.
He was working on his debut album and was in the preproduction stages of a clothing line called Da Army before he was killed. He also been a member of the Coalition DJs since 2008.
